Our Rescue Ready project has now been running for one year!
Rescue Ready provides AED (defibrillator) and CPR awareness sessions to community groups across Sussex. Sessions are free and are available for groups of community members, or local clubs, groups and societies. The aim of the project is to empower local people with life-saving skills. It’s great to know that over the last year more than 500 people have signed up and that so many more communities now have the confidence and knowledge to help in a cardiac emergency.

We are delighted that the project has been so popular and it’s great to hear all the positive feedback. We thank Pulse South Coast for helping us provide the awareness sessions – and we look forward to another successful year for Rescue Ready.
“…an excellent training session – clear, engaging and perfectly paced…the session was both enjoyable and highly effective” Nichol – Lurgashall Village Hall
“The session was very informative and has provided us with the confidence to help and provide assistance, if the need ever arises” Peter – Pagham Bowls Club

“…people found the session a great engaging mix between theory and practice, and left having more knowledge – but especially confidence” Rev David -St John’s Burgess Hill
“It was a very useful and practical training session, which everyone felt they benefited from attending” Bhav – Gurjat Hindu Union
