You may be wondering what a cardiac charity can do in a crisis such as the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Like many organisations we have understandably experienced a significant drop in income. Income which is vital to allow us to continue supporting heart patients and the NHS.
We want to reassure you that despite a practically world-wide ‘lock-down’ we are still pushing forward with our mission to IMPROVE, SUPPORT and FUND.
Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) classes have ceased due to COVID-19 but thanks to modern technology we are helping the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team continue to support patients.
Last year thanks to people like you, we funded an innovative ‘at home’ cardiac rehabilitation programme which utilises modern technology in the form of printed and online ‘Heart Manuals’. These help patients track their progress, provides information and psychological support.
This project was originally intended to cater for those who were unable to attend classes due to other commitments, for example having to return to work.
We can use this project to ensure patients receive the information, advice and guidance they need during this difficult time.
We do need to do more.
You can help by donating, allowing us to purchase more packs for more patients; not only helping individuals but also helping everyone else, never has it been more important to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.
