During February, the cardiac rehab teams at the Royal Sussex and Princess Royal hospitals celebrated Heart Month and Cardiac Rehab Week by holding ‘wear red’ days to raise funds for the SHC.
The Brighton exercise gyms looked extra bright during Cardiac Rehab week, with all the staff and patients wearing red to show their support. Everyone looked great!

“Thanks to all our patients who joined us for our ‘wear red’ days. We are proud to support the Sussex Heart Charity. They are invaluable to our service and offer a huge support to the cardiac rehab staff” – Martina, Lead Cardiac Rehab Nurse (RSCH/PRH)

At PRH, prizes were given to the patients with the best outfits. Congratulations to the winners, there were some excellent entrants – and it looks like everyone had a lovely time!
“As part of National Heart Month PRH did our annual wear red for Sussex Heart Charity. We are very grateful for all the support from the charity. The winners were awarded medals on Wednesday; well, it is the winter Olympics! On Friday we had SHC merchandise as prizes” – Katherine, Cardiac Rehab Nurse (PRH)

A big thank you to everyone who took part and supported the SHC, we are very grateful for all the very generous donations.
And thank you to the rehab teams for turning red to raise awareness about the SHC and heart health.
