The Sussex Heart Charity has a legacy of funding cutting-edge, life-saving hospital equipment, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machines, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems and Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors.
However, the smaller pieces of equipment can often have just as profound an impact on enhancing patient care and outcomes.
Recently, we equipped Brighton’s Cardiac Rehabilitation team with additional heart rate monitors and versatile exercise tools, enhancing their ability to deliver exceptional care. Martina, Lead Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist (pictured centre), shared:
“Our goal is to increase the number of patients participating in our cardiac rehabilitation classes. The Sussex Heart Charity has generously provided us with new watches and a versatile exercise step to help us monitor each patient during these sessions.”
