Sussex Heart Charity Annual Sponsored Walk Raises Over £10,000!
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Annual Sponsored Walk has been a tremendous success, raising just over £10,000! The Sussex Heart Charity (SHC) would like to thank everyone who donated and participated in the event. Your support is invaluable and will significantly aid heart patients in Sussex in the coming months and years.
Making a Difference Together
The funds raised will help countless heart patients, providing essential support and resources. Your contributions, whether through donations or active participation, play a vital role in achieving our goals.
A Special Thanks to Our Teams
We would also like to express our thanks to the nurses, rehabilitation teams and volunteers who assisted on the day of the walk. We could not run the event without you!
Exciting Developments at SHC
What are we doing at the moment?
-
- AED Packages Delivery: We have recently received a significant number of AED packages ready for distribution to local communities. Once installed, these devices will provide immediate assistance during cardiac emergencies, potentially saving many lives.
- Cardiac Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund: We are excited to launch a new pilot project, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund. This initiative is being implemented in three local hospitals and aims to make swift and effective enhancements to NHS-run services. We are optimistic about the project’s future expansion, which will benefit even more patients.
Ongoing Charitable Activities
In addition to these new initiatives, SHC continues its ongoing charitable activities, including providing bursaries to NHS staff. These bursaries support professional development, equipping healthcare workers with the essential resources and knowledge needed to ensure Sussex continues to deliver exceptional care to heart patients.
