Exercise plays such an important role in cardiac rehabilitation, helping patients build their strength, improve their fitness and grow in confidence as they work towards recovery.
We’re delighted to have recently funded new equipment for the cardiac rehab teams in Brighton and Haywards Heath, helping them support patients attending their exercise classes.
For Brighton, we provided two Ultimate Exercise Steps, which offer a stronger, more supportive option for patients who need a little extra stability during their exercises. We also supplied a Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer, which enables the physios to measure patients’ grip strength.
This is an important indication of overall strength and helps the team tailor training to individual needs and identify patients who would benefit from resistance training.

For Haywards Heath, we funded new exercise steps and dumbbell weights to support the growing number of patients attending exercise classes and ensure there is sufficient equipment for every exercise station.
The new weights are heavier than those currently available, making them particularly valuable for younger patients looking to return to higher-tempo exercise – an approach that new research supports in appropriate circumstances.

Together, this new equipment will help the teams provide patients with more individualised support, while helping sessions run safely and allowing patients to take part in exercises at a level that’s right for them.
We’re so pleased to be able to support the fantastic cardiac rehab teams in this practical way, providing equipment that makes a real difference to patients throughout their rehabilitation. ❤️
