We are delighted to be involved with the On the Ball heart health awareness campaign. The Bluecrest Wellness initiative launched last week and is being fronted by the Brighton & Hove Albion star and Lioness legend Fran Kirby.
Keeping “on the ball” when it comes to your heart is so important, especially for women (who may not present with typical symptoms). The campaign promotes the benefits of preventative action and early detection and encourages people to take care of their hearts by living a heart healthy lifestyle and getting regular health checks.
After getting sudden intense chest pains while at home having dinner, Fran was diagnosed with pericarditis. Prior to the event, Fran had not suffered with any symptoms associated with heart issues and thought she was fatigued due to burn out.
Fran’s experience is a powerful reminder that heart conditions can go unnoticed and can affect anyone – regardless of age or fitness. Fran is supporting the campaign to encourage everyone to proactively look after their hearts.
Fran has shared her story and offered advice about heart health and fitness via videos on the Bluecrest website and socials. Fran’s story and the campaign are also getting national coverage and there have already been feature articles in the Stylist magazine and The Times.
We want to thank Dominique and the Bluecrest team for promoting the SHC during the campaign and for generously choosing to support the SHC. We really appreciate the support and the chance to partner with them on such a worthwhile campaign.
