Being prepared can save lives. Our Rescue Ready Basic Life Support and AED Familiarisation sessions are designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act in an emergency. Whether you are new to lifesaving skills or looking to refresh your knowledge, these free sessions are open to everyone. During the training, you’ll learn how to perform effective CPR and how to use a defibrillator safely and confidently.

Declaration Agreement for Rescue Ready

By submitting this form, I (the applicant and lead organiser) confirm that I am acting on behalf of the named group and acknowledge and agree to the following:

Review of Information
I confirm that I have read and understood the Rescue Ready Terms & Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and will ensure that all participants are made aware of and agree to them prior to attending the session.

Commitment to Attendance
I confirm that the group intends to attend the session as scheduled. I acknowledge that a minimum of ten (10) participants is required and that if this number is not met, the group will be responsible for a fee of £20 per missing participant to cover costs incurred.

Application Process
I understand that submission of this application does not guarantee acceptance. All applications are reviewed by Sussex Heart Charity (SHC) and are subject to eligibility criteria.

Programme Scope
I acknowledge that Rescue Ready is an introductory familiarisation session and does not provide any accredited qualification or formal first aid certification.

Liability
I acknowledge that participation in Rescue Ready is voluntary and that all participants take part at their own risk. While reasonable care will be taken to ensure a safe environment, the organisers accept no responsibility for personal loss or theft. Nothing in this agreement excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Personal Responsibility
I will ensure that all participants understand they must follow the instructions of the trainer and behave in a way that ensures their own safety and the safety of others during the session.

Use of Information
I consent to the use of my personal information for the purposes of assessing this application, administering the booking and communicating information relating to Rescue Ready.
