Brighton Half Marathon 2027
The Brighton Half Marathon will be back on Sunday 28th February 2027. Named as the ‘UK’s Happiest Half’, the race is one of the most popular events in the running calendar due to the flat course and the iconic route that takes in Brighton landmarks and scenic seafront views.

Why run for the Sussex Heart Charity?
As you’ve booked your own place, we don’t have any fundraising targets and there are no sign up fees for joining our fundraising team.
Set your own fundraising goal and help us support cardiac patients, local communities and NHS staff across Sussex.
Every mile you run and every pound you raise will make a big difference:
£5 – provides patient information booklets for five people, offering essential support throughout their cardiac journey.
£20 – buys exercise weights or resistance bands for cardiac rehab exercise classes, enabling more patients to attend.
£25 – funds 1,000 medical alert cards for patients to carry.
£99 – covers the cost of a portable heart rate monitor for use in cardiac rehabilitation classes.
£120 – replaces a Pad-Pak for an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), keeping it “rescue ready” for another four years.
£240 – funds a free Rescue Ready CPR and AED awareness session for a local community – empowering them with the knowledge and skills to respond confidently in a medical emergency.
£250–£500 – provides an educational bursary for NHS cardiac staff – giving them the financial assistance to attend a course or conference that will enhances their skills, knowledge and experience.
£900 – funds a publicly accessible AED package for a local community, including an AED familiarisation session – helping to ensure life-saving equipment is available to more local areas 24hrs a day.
£1,000+ – contributes to medical research, new nurse-led services or innovative equipment for Sussex hospitals.

Team SHC runners and their families and friends will have free access to the exclusive ‘SHC Runners Room’ at the Brighton Seafront Mercure hotel. The hotel is located on Hove Lawns – conveniently near the start and end of the race.
The Runners Room gives you an upgraded race day experience!

Complimentary access to the exclusive SHC Runners Room before and after the race: Relax in a warm indoor space at the Mercure Hotel before and after the race. The SHC has private use of The Ballroom – a quiet and relaxing space for you and your supporters to enjoy while you prepare and recover from the race. Plenty of seating will be available.
Secure bag drop: Keep your belongings safe (and dry) while you run – with no queues for dropping off or collection your bags. The runners room opens at 7.30am to give you plenty of time to drop off your belongings before the start of the race.

Important information

Please note that registering with us to be a part of Team SHC does not automatically secure you a place in the Brighton Half Marathon. Runners are required to independently book their own general entry half marathon space through the official Brighton Half Marathon registration process.

Terms & Conditions
The SHC Runners Room: A space in the Runners Room will be reserved for you when you join Team SHC. You will be eligible for this benefit once you’ve started receiving donations on your JustGiving fundraising page.
SHC Technical T-shirt: You will be eligible for a free SHC technical running t-shirt once you’ve started receiving donations on your JustGiving fundraising page. The t-shirt will be posted to you in time for the event. Alternatively, you can arrange collection from the SHC office or collect on race day. We will be in contact with you to confirm your t-shirt size and delivery preference.
BHM27 Registration Fee Reimbursement: Claims must be submitted after the event – and within 28 days of race day. To be eligible you must raise over £250 (excluding gift aid) and you must provide the appropriate evidence.
SHC Goodie Bag: One goodie bag per runner – to be given out on race day only. You will receive your goodie bag on arrival at the SHC Runners Room. Contents of bag TBC.
Runners Room Bag Drop: Belongings are left at your own risk.
Mercure Hotel 10% Food Discount: This is valid for the day of the race only (28/02/27). It is valid for food purchased from the restaurant menu at Brighton Seafront Mercure Hotel and does not include bar snacks or drinks. Information on how to claim this discount will be provided at a later date. The 10% discount is at the discretion of the Mercure Hotel.
Data Protection: We will contact you throughout the build-up and after the race – this could be via email, phone, WhatsApp or post. By signing up to Team SHC you are consenting to receiving these communications. Further communications will be as per your preferences.
Photos & Publicity: Photographs will be taken throughout the event. By signing up and agreeing to the T&Cs you agree for their use in our communications and publicity.
Participation in the Event: To participate in the event you must secure your own place via the event organiser. Your participation is subject to the event organisers T&Cs.
Health & Fitness: Participation in the event is at your own risk. If you have any health concerns or a medical condition that could be affected by exercise you should seek professional medical advice before participating.
Safety: It is your responsibility to make sure your race-day clothing and footwear is suitable for the event. Please be aware that the event takes place in public spaces.
Liability: The SHC is not responsible for any injury or accident causing loss or damage to a participant or their supporters. You and your supporters attend the event at your own risk.
