Brighton & Hove Way Walk
Join us and eight other charities as we hike the nine miles, or so, along part of the Brighton & Hove Way.
Starting at the Undercliff (Satldean Café) the route takes us up to the top of Saltdean Village before taking a right onto the Sussex Downs and the Castle Hill National Nature Reserve, you will pass the long-lost village of Basldean, ascend to the top of Castle Hill before descending into Falmer, for the woodland section, after then it’s sharp accent towards the finishing point and a cold drink at Stanmer Park.
Easily accessible by public transport and radial paths from the city, the Brighton & Hove Way offers a wonderful opportunity for more people, both residents and visitors, to get out and enjoy the richness of the South Downs National Park on our doorstep.
Registration costs £15.00 – £5.00 of which will be donated to the Mayor of Brighton and Hove’s nine chosen charities.
These charities are:
The Sussex Heart Charity
CPRE, the countryside charity
Martlets
FareShare
Allsorts
Team Domenica
Brighton Fringe
Off the Fence
New Note Orchestra
Please note that this is a physical event which takes walkers from the coast to approximately 600ft above sea level through rural countryside. You must be confident that you can complete the walk by yourself in the unlikely event that you get separated from your friends or family. Emergency contacts will be provided. Check with your GP if you have any doubts as to your suitability to take part.
Walkers are welcome to register and raise sponsorship for their chosen cause.
