Basic Life Support Training

Heartguard has been teaching life saving skills for over twenty-five years we are a leader in the field of instructing Basic Emergency Life Support.

It is vital that all members of the community learn these skills. The knowledge and skills you will learn on a Heartguard course are of great importance. It may be that, one day, the only thing that stands between life and death of a colleague, friend or a member of your family are the skills acquired during a Heartguard course.

Courses can be arranged for any business, doctor or dental practice, club/ society, college or school at a time most convenient to the group. We are very flexible, able to arrange training to suit your requirements. The Heartguard training course lasts for 2 hours. You will be taught to deal with an emergency situation prior to medical aid arriving.

In the space of two hours you will be taught all aspects of emergency support:

The early recognition of a heart attack and how to respond

How to check if they are breathing and what to do if they are not

How to recognise absence of respirations and Cardiac Arrest

Instructions in how to administer mouth-to-mouth respirations and compressions

How to deal with an unconscious person

How to control severe bleeding and other life threatening conditions
